Students Exam Center Issue Resolved in Nagpur, But Concerns Remain Over NTAs Process

Nagpur, June 20: A resolution has finally emerged regarding the exam center allocation for Abdullah, a student from Nagpur, just ahead of the NEET UG exam scheduled for June 21. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised Abdullah’s exam center, now designating it in Nagpur, much to the relief of his family.

Initially, Abdullah had selected Nagpur, Wardha, and Bhandara as his preferred exam centers during the application process. However, he was unexpectedly assigned an exam center in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Following this, his family lodged a complaint with the NTA, questioning the alleged error in the center allocation.

Amidst the controversy, Abdullah’s admit card surfaced, confirming that his exam center is now listed as ‘PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Ajni’ in Nagpur.

In response, the NTA claimed that the center selection was made by the candidate, asserting that there was no mistake on their part. However, Abdullah’s father, Mohammad Talib, vehemently rejected this claim.

As the issue gained traction, the NTA ultimately assigned Abdullah an exam center in Nagpur. Following this resolution, Mohammad Talib expressed gratitude to everyone who helped raise awareness and facilitated a solution.

In an interview, he stated, “Our efforts and the support from others have led to our success. We are very happy that the exam center is now in Nagpur.” Nevertheless, he raised concerns about the NTA’s operational procedures.

He mentioned that the mix-up in center allocation had caused significant mental stress for his son, leading to a lack of readiness for the exam. “The agency should take responsibility for this,” he added. Despite this, the family is trying to encourage Abdullah to participate in the exam, hoping for a positive outcome.

Mohammad Talib reiterated that the family had clearly indicated their preferences, selecting only three districts: Nagpur, Wardha, and Bhandara, with Nagpur as their top choice. “We do not understand how Abu Dhabi was assigned as an exam center. I am currently calm regarding the NTA’s accusations, but I will respond in the future,” he concluded.
