Student Commits Suicide in Kota, Leaves Heartbreaking Note for Parents
A student preparing for JEE tragically took his life in Kota, leaving a note apologizing to his parents. Police are investigating the circumstances.

Kota, November 2 (Daily Kiran) : A tragic incident unfolded in Kota, where a student preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) reportedly took his own life in his hostel room. The student, originally from Uttar Pradesh, had been living in Kota for nearly a year, engaging in online classes for his exam preparation.
The incident occurred in the Jawahar Nagar police jurisdiction. Authorities discovered a suicide note in the room, which simply read, “Sorry, Mummy-Papa.” Upon receiving the distressing news, police quickly arrived at the hostel and sent the body to MBS Hospital for postmortem.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Manish Sharma, the student was enrolled in an online coaching program. When he failed to respond after a prolonged period, his fellow hostel residents grew concerned. They broke down the door and found him deceased in the bathroom.
SHO Mukesh Meena of Jawahar Nagar police station confirmed that they received a report of the suicide around 1:30 PM. The student had been preparing for engineering entrance exams through a local online coaching institute. Upon arrival at the City Park Residency hostel, officers located the body in the bathroom.
The family has been notified about the incident. The room has been sealed and will only be opened in the presence of family members. The reasons behind the student’s actions remain unclear, and further investigations will follow based on the family’s statements. This will include postmortem results and other legal processes.
Interestingly, while the hostel had ‘hanging devices’ installed on the ceiling fans, the student had acquired a metal rod, which he used to carry out the act. The hostel management became aware of the situation through other students who noted his absence throughout the day.
Initial inquiries revealed that the student had not attended breakfast, raising concerns among peers who attempted to check on him. Police have informed the student’s family in Uttar Pradesh, who are expected to arrive in Kota by Tuesday for the necessary arrangements, including the postmortem. Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
