Indian Minister Jitin Prasad Strengthens Ties During Visit to Poland

Jitin Prasads visit to Poland aims to enhance strategic relations and boost bilateral trade following recent agreements with Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

Warsaw, November 2 (Daily Kiran) : Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry Jitin Prasad arrived in Warsaw, Poland, on November 2, 2026, accompanied by a delegation. The Indian Embassy in Warsaw warmly welcomed the minister upon his arrival. This visit is seen as a significant step towards strengthening strategic relations between India and Poland.

In a social media post on platform ‘X’, the Indian Embassy expressed, “We warmly welcomed Minister Jitin Prasad and his delegation upon their arrival in Warsaw. This visit comes just days after the meeting between Prime Ministers Donald Tusk and Narendra Modi in New Delhi. It is believed this trip will help advance the agreements and decisions made during their discussions.”

The post further stated, “This visit is expected to result in significant progress in strengthening the strategic relationship between India and Poland. It is considered a crucial step towards enhancing cooperation and deepening mutual partnerships between the two nations.”

Prime Minister Donald Tusk had visited India in October, where he and Prime Minister Modi set a target to double bilateral trade between India and Poland by 2030.

Modi invited Polish companies to invest and expand their operations in India, highlighting the country’s vast market, skilled workforce, rapidly growing manufacturing sector, and innovation-driven ecosystem as significant opportunities for foreign businesses.

Tusk acknowledged the importance of Indian investments in Poland, noting that the country could serve as a vital gateway for Indian companies looking to expand into Central and Eastern Europe, as well as the broader European market.

Both leaders also agreed to enhance cooperation in the agricultural sector, with plans to revive the activities of a bilateral working group to invigorate agricultural trade and technical collaboration.
