
Lucknow, July 2: The Lucknow Police Commissionerate has announced extensive security and traffic arrangements to ensure the UP TET 2026 exam is conducted peacefully, fairly, and securely. The exam will take place on July 2, 3, and 4, 2026, across 46 examination centers in Lucknow.
Organized by the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission in Prayagraj, the exam will see participation from a total of 96,454 candidates. The examination will be held in two shifts over two days, with one day dedicated to a morning session only.
According to information released by the police commissionerate, a total of 332 police personnel will be deployed for the exam, including 46 sub-inspectors, 92 head constables/constables, 92 female constables, and 92 armed police officers assigned to ensure the security of sensitive materials.
Each examination center will have one sub-inspector, two head constables/constables, and two female constables present to maintain law and order.
Mobile phones, smartwatches, IT gadgets, and other electronic devices will be strictly prohibited at the exam centers. Additionally, cyber cafes, photocopy shops, and PCOs will be completely closed within a 200-meter radius of the examination centers.
The use of loudspeakers will also be entirely banned during the exam. All Assistant Police Commissioners and station officers will conduct regular patrols in their areas to ensure security. The social media cell will continuously monitor all platforms.
To maintain smooth traffic flow, the Deputy Commissioner of Traffic has arranged for special police forces to be deployed around railway stations, bus stations, metro stations, taxi stands, and examination centers. Officers at the TI level will inspect routes a day prior to the exam.
On exam day, all station officers will be on patrol from 7 AM until the exam concludes. Emergency vehicles from UP-112 will be stationed near the exam centers.
For women’s safety, the Pink Patrol, Anti-Romeo Squad, and UP-112 teams will remain vigilant.
The police have instructed all personnel to arrive at the exam centers three hours before the exam starts and to carry their ID cards. Any incidents of disturbance must be reported to senior officials immediately.
The Lucknow police have urged candidates and parents to arrive at the exam centers on time, adhere to all rules, and disregard any rumors.
