Vadodara, August 29: Retired General M.M. Naravane attended the grand inauguration of a new co-working space, where he shared his thoughts on nation-building, leadership, and entrepreneurship.
In a conversation with reporters on Saturday, Naravane emphasized that the nature of warfare is continuously changing. He stated that if a conflict arises in the future, it will be essential to adapt our strategies. “We cannot fight future wars as we did in the past,” he remarked. He highlighted the importance of understanding the challenges that lie ahead for the military and how to effectively address them.
Naravane expressed that a forward-looking approach to strategy is crucial for future success, similar to the achievements during Operation Sindoor.
Additionally, he addressed the topic of Praetorianism, noting that it first emerged during the Kargil War, which was about 25-26 years ago. He explained that this is not a new concept and that steps are being taken to implement it in India. Given the increasing likelihood of future conflicts, advancing towards Praetorianism becomes essential.
He also discussed the recent 25 rounds of talks between special representatives, with Ajit Doval representing India and the Chinese Foreign Minister participating from their side. Naravane pointed out that this is not the first instance of such discussions, especially in light of the ongoing border disputes between India and China, where the boundaries remain ambiguously defined, leading to periodic tensions.
Furthermore, he noted the recent opening of an office by India Accelerator, aimed at supporting startups. He believes that the contribution of startups is vital for India’s progress. To realize the dream of a developed India, understanding the significance of startups is key. The new office will provide guidance and financial assistance to aspiring entrepreneurs, helping them thrive in their ventures.
