
Colombo, June 19: The final match of the ODI series featuring Sri Lanka A, India A, and Afghanistan A is set, following Afghanistan’s significant loss. On Friday, Afghanistan faced Sri Lanka A and lost by 103 runs, securing India’s place in the final scheduled for Sunday.
In the match between Sri Lanka A and Afghanistan A, Afghanistan won the toss and opted to bowl first. Sri Lanka A posted a total of 322 runs, losing 8 wickets in their 50 overs. Avishka Fernando was the standout performer, scoring 110 runs off 97 balls, while Niroshan Dickwella contributed 56 runs from 54 balls. The opening pair formed a solid partnership, amassing 133 runs in just 16.3 overs. Additionally, Nuwandidu Fernando chipped in with a valuable 45 runs.
For Afghanistan, Faridun Daudzai took 4 wickets, and Farmanullah claimed 3, while Mohammad Ibrahim added 1 wicket to the tally.
