
New Delhi, June 22: The Sports Authority of India (SAI) has announced the recruitment of 100 Assistant Coach positions on a deputation basis. These roles are for a period of three years, with the possibility of extension up to seven years. Eligible candidates are encouraged to apply by June 27.
The offline application process for these vacancies began on May 26, with the final deadline set for June 27. Candidates interested in these positions should complete their registration by 5 PM on the deadline day.
Applicants must possess a coaching diploma from SAI’s National Institute of Sports (NIS) in Patiala or an equivalent qualification recognized by SAI. They should also have participated in Olympic, Paralympic, Asian Games, World Championships, or similar events, along with a coaching certificate course. Alternatively, candidates who have received the Dronacharya Award or meet the criteria defined by SAI for sports quota recruitment are also eligible.
Additionally, officials currently employed under the central or state governments, or union territory administrations, with at least six years of regular service in a corresponding position or Level-5, and a salary range of ₹25,500 to ₹81,100, can apply for these posts.
The maximum age limit for applicants is set at 56 years, calculated as of May 26. Selection will be based on eligibility checks, interviews, and merit lists. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400, along with additional benefits and allowances.

Candidates must download the application form provided in the notification, fill it out with the required information, and attach all necessary documents. Finally, the completed registration form should be sent in an envelope to the office of the Deputy Director (Human Resource Department-II), Sports Authority of India, Headquarters, Gate No. 10 (East Gate), Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003, before the deadline.
