
New Delhi, August 13: In an exciting match of the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2026, the South Delhi Superstars triumphed over the East Delhi Warriors by 9 wickets on Wednesday. This was the 24th match of the season.
After winning only 2 out of 6 matches, the South Delhi Superstars currently sit at the sixth position in the points table. Meanwhile, the East Delhi Warriors, suffering their fifth defeat, are at the bottom. They have played 6 matches, with one ending in no result, and have yet to secure a victory.
The match took place at Arun Jaitley Stadium. Batting first after losing the toss, the East Delhi Warriors scored 191 runs, losing 6 wickets. Vansh Mehra, alongside Arpit Rana, opened the innings with a solid partnership, accumulating 58 runs off 35 balls. Vansh scored 27 runs off 16 balls before returning to the pavilion, while Arpit contributed 34 runs off 23 balls.
After losing 4 wickets for just 102 runs, Sujal Singh took charge, forming a crucial fifth-wicket partnership of 58 runs with Suryansh Raina off 43 balls, helping the team reach a competitive total.
