New Delhi, August 3 (H.S.)Son of Sardaar 2 may have had a slow start at the box office, but the film picked up pace on its second day, showing strong signs of revival. On Saturday, Ajay Devgn’s comedy sequel outperformed Sayara, leaving behind Ahaan Panday and Anit Padda’s film in terms of single-day domestic collections.

Despite facing stiff competition from Sayara and Mahavatar Narasimha, Son of Sardaar 2 asserted its presence on Day 2. The film, which stars Ajay Devgn, Mrunal Thakur, and Ravi Kishan, earned ₹7.25 crore on its opening day. However, Saturday saw a small but encouraging surge in collections.

According to a report by Sacnilk.com, the film managed to earn approximately ₹7.50 crore on its second day at the domestic box office. These are early estimates and the final figures may rise as official numbers come in.

Two-Day Collection: ₹14.75 Crore

With Saturday’s earnings, the total two-day domestic collection of Son of Sardaar 2 has reached ₹14.75 crore. This is despite the film receiving mixed-to-negative reviews from critics. Interestingly, Sayara trailed Son of Sardaar 2 by ₹1 crore on Saturday, indicating a shifting momentum in Ajay Devgn’s favour.

Worldwide Performance

Son of Sardaar 2 had a decent start overseas as well, earning ₹2.3 crore on its opening day in international markets. The total worldwide collection for Day 1 stood at ₹11 crore, showing that the film has gained some traction outside India too.

While it’s too early to declare the film a hit or a flop, its performance so far suggests that it may hold its ground through the first week. The final verdict will depend on the coming days’ collections and audience word-of-mouth.
