Software Engineer Dies After Domestic Dispute, Four Relatives Arrested for Murder

New Delhi, August 22: A 31-year-old software engineer reportedly died from injuries sustained during a domestic dispute in the Nihal Vihar area of West Delhi. The police have detained four relatives of the deceased’s wife and are in the process of filing a murder case.

The victim has been identified as Vinay Gupta, a resident of Laxmi Park, who worked at a private company in Noida. He had been married for approximately three and a half years to a woman from Budh Vihar. The couple had twin children, a son and a daughter, who are around four and a half months old.

According to police reports, a dispute arose between Vinay and his wife on Friday morning. Following the argument, the wife called her relatives to their home. Allegations suggest that her family members arrived at Vinay’s residence in Nihal Vihar and assaulted him.

Upon receiving news of the incident, the police arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. Based on preliminary findings, they have begun the process of filing a case under sections 103(1) and 3(5) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Authorities have identified and detained the four individuals allegedly involved in the incident. They are currently being interrogated, and the investigation is ongoing.
