Mumbai, August 5: Actress Smriti Khanna paid an emotional tribute to the late actor Pradeep Rawat, reminiscing about the beautiful moments they shared. She expressed that their initial acquaintance in the film industry gradually evolved into a familial bond. He always considered her part of his family and encouraged her at every step.
In an exclusive interview, Smriti shared, “I first met Pradeep Dada at a party through a mutual friend. There was an instant connection between us. Our friendship grew stronger over time, transforming into a beautiful family relationship. Pradeep Dada, his wife Kalyani, and our entire family often spent time together.”
Smriti elaborated on the closeness between their families, mentioning how visiting each other’s homes, sharing meals, celebrating birthdays, and going on vacations together became commonplace. “We would visit each other’s homes, celebrate birthdays together, enjoy dinners, and often talk late into the night. We even spent holidays together. Pradeep Dada was always present on my birthday. We played antakshari for hours, laughed, and shared countless conversations. Every moment spent with him is still fresh in my memories.”
She continued, “Pradeep Rawat was not only a talented actor but also a person rich in life experiences. He often shared stories about his struggles, work, and life lessons that were incredibly insightful. Our relationship was filled with affection. He would sometimes regard me as his younger sister and at other times as a daughter. He always offered love, respect, and warmth.”
