New Delhi, August 5: Pakistan has struggled to come to terms with the abrogation of Article 370 concerning Kashmir. On August 5, it commemorates this day as ‘Yawm-e-Istehsal’ or ‘Day of Exploitation.’ In a video message released on Wednesday morning, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar made unfounded claims, which India later labeled as a futile political attempt to spread misinformation.
The Ministry of External Affairs issued an official statement rejecting Dar’s malicious comments outright. Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated, “India categorically rejects Pakistan’s political theatrics and propaganda campaign.”
Dar reiterated claims regarding Jammu and Kashmir, stating, “Jammu and Kashmir, along with Ladakh, are integral and inseparable parts of India and will always remain so.”
India clarified that the constitutional changes made on August 5, 2019, are entirely an internal matter. These decisions have led to social and economic development for the people in the region, promoting good governance and democratic empowerment. Pakistan has no right to comment on India’s internal affairs.
Jaiswal further highlighted Pakistan’s attempts to spread falsehoods as desperate efforts to divert attention from its dismal human rights record and its image as a global terrorism hub. The international community is witnessing how the voices of people in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir are brutally suppressed.
Referring to military actions, he noted, “In recent weeks, Pakistani security forces have resorted to violence, targeted killings, and strict restrictions to suppress peaceful protests by local residents. Such state-sponsored violence against unarmed individuals highlights the double standards of the Pakistani government.”
In conclusion, Jaiswal advised Pakistan to cease its diplomatic theatrics and instead focus on stopping the bloodshed in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He urged Pakistan to take concrete actions against the terror networks operating from its territory and to vacate all areas it has illegally and forcibly occupied. The world will not be fooled by these orchestrated spectacles.
