Bhopal, August 24: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav emphasized that in today’s world, skills are the new currency and innovation represents the new economy. He inaugurated the state-level conclave titled “Contribution of Centrally Funded Institutions for Prosperous Madhya Pradesh 2047” at the Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium in Bhopal by lighting a lamp. During the event, he was honored with a coconut and a memento.
At this occasion, CM Yadav stated that it is essential for our institutions to become centers for skill development, research, innovation, and entrepreneurship. He highlighted the Ken-Betwa Link Project as Madhya Pradesh’s first historic river linking initiative. This project aims to enhance water management, expand irrigation, and ensure sufficient water supply for farmers. Additionally, it will play a crucial role in mitigating the impacts of disasters like floods.
The Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal project was also mentioned, which has resolved long-standing water disputes between Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, ensuring adequate water availability for 15 districts in each state. CM Yadav noted that healthy competition is vital for progress. When the state advances, the nation will follow suit.
During the conclave organized by the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute for Good Governance and Policy Analysis, he expressed hope that the institute would embody the ideals of service to the nation and upliftment of the last person in line, as envisioned by Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Presentations were made by heads of central institutions on effectively utilizing expertise, technical support, and innovations for the comprehensive and balanced development of Madhya Pradesh. CM Yadav also released the “Prosperous Madhya Pradesh-2047” commemorative booklet.
