Patna, August 24: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary launched the ‘Bihar Vidya Saathi’ app on Monday, designed to provide 24/7 online support to students across 700 Saraswati Vidya Niketan model schools in the state’s 38 districts. The initiative, inaugurated via video conferencing from the ‘Sankalp’ auditorium at the Lok Seva Awas, aims to benefit approximately three lakh students.
The Chief Minister emphasized that ‘Bihar Vidya Saathi’ is a significant step towards ensuring quality education and better guidance for children. Through this digital platform, students can resolve their academic issues anytime and anywhere. Live teachers will be available around the clock for students in grades 9 to 12.
Students will have the option to select teachers based on their needs and preferences, allowing for one-on-one interaction during their studies. About 75,000 teachers will provide personalized academic support. The platform will also offer quick and free solutions to any subject-related problems that arise during study sessions.
For students in grades 9 and 10, live tutor support will be available for all subjects. Additionally, students in grades 11 and 12 from the science stream will have access to digital study materials for JEE and NEET preparation, in collaboration with the Bihar Board. The Chief Minister stated that modern AI-based tools will enhance students’ conceptual understanding, providing unlimited study and practice opportunities.
This initiative, starting with 700 schools, is set to expand to other institutions across the state. Samrat Chaudhary encouraged students to take full advantage of this facility to strengthen their knowledge and skills by addressing their queries. The government’s goal is to ensure that students can access answers and teacher support whenever and wherever they study. A short film based on the ‘Bihar Vidya Saathi’ app was showcased during the event.
Students Jahnvi and Jiya from Rajkiya Kanya Uch Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Shastri Nagar, demonstrated the app’s usage and highlighted the benefits it offers. The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari, Chief Secretary Pratyay Amrit, and other officials, along with district magistrates and students from all districts connected via video conferencing.
