Ayodhya, June 14: Nripendra Mishra, the chairman of the Ram Temple construction committee, addressed journalists regarding the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe alleged irregularities associated with the Ram Temple donation fund.
During the press interaction, he stated that the state government established the SIT in less than 24 hours for the investigation. The team includes highly senior officials, including a divisional commissioner and senior police officers, all of whom reportedly have extensive experience working with the CBI.
Mishra emphasized that the state government is making decisions swiftly. A timeframe of 15 days has been set for the SIT, which is required to submit a preliminary report within 7 days and a final report within 15 days. He urged everyone to await the investigation report, noting that if any discrepancies are found, the committee will recommend corrective actions for implementation.
He also mentioned that a boundary wall is currently being constructed by Engineers India Limited. A review was conducted with officials, aiming to complete the four-kilometer-long boundary wall by the end of August 2026. To expedite the work, it has been decided to commence operations at six different locations. Additionally, a separate agency has been selected to construct 25 watch towers.
Regarding the Ram Katha Museum meeting, Mishra explained that it consists of two parts. The first part includes 20 galleries, with scripts already written for each gallery. Discussions will take place today regarding the videos to be produced based on these scripts.
In response to the SIT’s formation to investigate alleged irregularities in the Ram Temple, Mahant Dr. Deveshacharya Ji Maharaj of the Siddh Peeth Hanumangarhi expressed his congratulations and best wishes to the Uttar Pradesh government for taking cognizance of the matter and forming the SIT. He emphasized the importance of thoroughly investigating misleading news spread by certain mischievous elements to reveal the truth.
