New Delhi, May 12: Apra Ekadashi, dedicated to Lord Narayan, holds special significance for devotees. This auspicious day falls on May 13 (Wednesday) during the Krishna Paksha of Jyeshtha month. It is believed that performing rituals and fasting on this day leads to liberation from sins, as well as the attainment of happiness, peace, and prosperity.

Devotees engage in worship, chant mantras, offer Tulsi, and observe fasts to honor Lord Vishnu. The term ‘Apra’ signifies the infinite and boundless. According to Sanatan Dharma beliefs, observing this fast with devotion cleanses all sins and fills life with positive energy.

The Yoga Vishkambha will last until 8:55 PM, and the Karan Balav will be effective until 1:29 PM, transitioning to Koulav until 12:30 AM (May 14).

Regarding auspicious timings, Brahma Muhurat will be from 4:08 AM to 4:50 AM, Vijay Muhurat from 2:33 PM to 3:27 PM, and Godhuli Muhurat from 7:02 PM to 7:23 PM. Amrit Kaal will be from 7:41 PM to 9:13 PM, and Nishita Muhurat from 11:56 PM to 12:38 AM (May 14).

Conversely, inauspicious timings include Rahukal from 12:18 PM to 1:59 PM, Yamgand from 7:13 AM to 8:55 AM, Gulik Kaal from 10:36 AM to 12:18 PM, and Durmuhurt from 11:51 AM to 12:45 PM. Additionally, Vargya will be from 10:29 AM to 12:01 PM, while Panchak will be effective throughout the day.
