It is noteworthy that on January 31, a triple murder case emerged from the Vijayanagar district of Karnataka, where a man allegedly killed his father, mother, and sister, later attempting to mislead police by reporting them missing in Bengaluru.
The accused, Akshay Kumar, reportedly murdered his father, Bhimaraj, mother, Jayalakshmi, and sister, Amrita, in their rented home in the town of Kottur. Initial investigations revealed that the incident occurred on January 27.
After the incident, Akshay traveled to Bengaluru and filed a missing persons report for his family. During questioning, police grew suspicious of his statements, and under intense interrogation, he confessed to the murders.
Following his confession, police arrived at the scene and began investigating the house where the bodies had been buried.
Additionally, on February 12, a 33-year-old software engineer in Bengaluru stabbed his father, a retired naval captain, and mother, a dentist, over a financial dispute. The accused, Rohan Chandra Bhatt, was apprehended shortly after the incident and has since been placed in judicial custody.
