Shocking Daylight Murder of Pharmacy Employee in Chandigarh Captured on CCTV

Chandigarh, June 13: A pharmacy employee was brutally shot dead in broad daylight on Saturday at a pharmacy located near PGIMER in the upscale Sector 11 market of Chandigarh.

According to police reports, the cashier at Shri Kumar Medical Hall was shot at close range. After the attack, the assailants fled the scene on a motorcycle with a third accomplice.

Authorities have refrained from commenting on the motive behind the crime, stating that it is too early to determine the reasons.

CCTV footage from the pharmacy shows the two assailants calmly conversing with the cashier while he was engaged in a discussion with another employee. Moments later, one of the attackers pulled out a semi-automatic pistol and fired multiple shots at the victim.

Witnesses reported that two individuals managed to escape from the scene. Additional CCTV footage from the market captured the panic as people fled upon hearing the gunfire.

The victim sustained several gunshot wounds and was rushed to the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), where he was pronounced dead.

This incident marks the second major homicide in the city. Previously, on March 19, a 31-year-old property dealer, Chamanpreet Singh, was shot dead in broad daylight in the VIP area of Sector 9. This attack occurred as he was leaving the gym and was ambushed while sitting in his SUV.

After completing his workout, the victim slowed down near the exit when two assailants on a motorcycle approached and opened fire indiscriminately. Following the attack, the perpetrators fled on their motorcycle.
