New Delhi, June 25: The police have successfully resolved the murder case of a 17-year-old in the Seelampur area of Delhi. Joint operations by the Seelampur police station and the Northeast district’s special staff team led to the arrest of two minor suspects involved in the crime. The police also recovered the knife used in the murder and the motorcycle linked to the incident based on their information.
According to the Delhi police, they received a report of a stabbing incident around 9 PM on June 24 in Gali Number 4 of Gautampuri. Upon arrival, the police learned that the injured youth had been taken to JPC Hospital by his cousin, where he was pronounced dead by doctors.
The deceased was identified as 17-year-old Lucky Kumar, son of Ramesh, a resident of Gautampuri. Following the incident, the crime and forensic teams inspected the scene and collected crucial evidence. Based on this, an FIR was registered under Section 103(1) BNS at Seelampur police station, and an investigation was initiated. A team was formed under the leadership of Inspector Narpal Singh, the SHO of Seelampur, which included SI Sudhanshu, Head Constable Navneesh, Head Constable Manish Faujdar, Constable Vipin, and Constable Sachin. This team operated under the supervision of ACP Seelampur, Malkeet Singh.
Additionally, a special staff team was formed under Inspector Arvind, which included SI Kaushik Ghosh, ASI Amit Tyagi, ASI Amit Mann, Head Constable Monu Kumar, and Head Constable Amir. This team was overseen by ACP Operations, Satyendra Singh.
During the investigation, the police teams gathered intelligence from various sources and conducted a thorough analysis of CCTV footage from nearby areas. Based on technical evidence and other clues, the suspects were identified, and raids were conducted at their potential hideouts. After continuous efforts, the police arrested two minor suspects involved in the murder, both aged approximately 15 to 16 years. They confessed to their involvement in the crime and revealed the identity of a third accomplice.
During police questioning, the suspects stated that a minor dispute with the victim escalated into violence, leading to a fatal attack on Lucky Kumar. The knife used in the murder and the motorcycle involved in the incident were recovered based on the suspects’ information. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the third suspect, and further investigations are underway.
