Mumbai, March 10: Team India showcased an outstanding performance, clinching the T20 World Cup 2026 title. On Sunday, at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad, India defeated New Zealand by 96 runs in the final. Throughout the tournament, Shivam Dube played a crucial role during challenging moments. His childhood coach, Nilesh Bhosale, has labeled him as the ‘Crisis Man’ of the Indian team.

In an interview, Bhosale stated that whenever Shivam has been entrusted with responsibility, he has delivered exceptional performances. He highlighted Shivam’s impressive showings in the Asia Cup and against Pakistan and England. Bhosale noted that Shivam was sent in to bat at number four during the semi-final, demonstrating his understanding of his responsibilities and how to contribute to the team’s success.

During the Super-8 round against Zimbabwe, Shivam conceded 46 runs in a two-over spell. Coach Nilesh acknowledged that Shivam faced significant criticism for this performance but emphasized that he has also bowled with the new ball. He reiterated that Shivam is currently the ‘Crisis Man’ for the Indian team.

Bhosale also praised Jasprit Bumrah’s performance, stating that his presence in the bowling attack instills confidence that he can handle everything.
