DRDO Offers Job Opportunities for Junior Research Fellows

New Delhi, March 13: The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has announced job openings for two Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions at its prominent laboratory, the Defense Scientific Information and Documentation Centre (DESIDOC). These positions are available on a contract basis.

The available JRF positions include one in Library and Information Science and another in Computer Science and Engineering. A walk-in interview is scheduled for March 25, starting at 9 AM, at the DESIDOC office located at Metcalfe House, Civil Lines, Delhi – 110054.

Eligible candidates wishing to attend the walk-in interview must possess a B.Sc., B.E/B.Tech, or M.E/M.Tech degree from a recognized institution or university, relevant to the respective positions. Additionally, candidates must meet other specified eligibility criteria.

The maximum age limit for applicants is set at 28 years. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per government regulations. Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates are eligible for a 5-year age relaxation, while Other Backward Class (OBC) candidates can avail of a 3-year relaxation.

Selection of eligible candidates from the walk-in interview will be based on the interview performance, examination (depending on the number of candidates), preliminary screening, and document verification. Selected candidates will receive a stipend of ₹37,000 per month.
