Mumbai, June 20: Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty is celebrating her mother Sunanda Shetty’s 72nd birthday today. On this special occasion, Shilpa took to social media to share nostalgic photos, reflecting on cherished memories. She described her mother as her greatest critic, best friend, and soulmate.
Shilpa posted several pictures featuring her mother Sunanda, husband Raj Kundra, sister Shamita, and her children. Among these images were some from Sunanda’s youthful days.
In her heartfelt caption, Shilpa wrote, “Happy Birthday, Mom! My biggest blessing, my greatest strength, my toughest critic, my best friend, teacher, guide, and soulmate—my everything. Words cannot express what you mean to me. Thank you for your boundless love, blessings, and unwavering support.”

On the professional front, the 51-year-old actress was last seen in Sonal Joshi’s film ‘Sukhi,’ where she played the lead role. The film also featured Amit Sadh, Dilnaz Irani, Kusha Kapila, and Pavleen Gujral.
‘Sukhi’ is based on the life of a 38-year-old Punjabi housewife, Sukhpreet “Sukhi” Kalra. Tired of her mundane daily routine, Sukhpreet attends her high school reunion in Delhi. Over the course of seven days, she relives her teenage memories and returns with renewed energy, carving out her identity as a woman.
