Noida, September 14 (Daily Kiran) : The ‘Service Commitment Campaign’ is set to commence on September 17, coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. Preparations for this initiative are ramping up in Noida. A review meeting was held on September 14, led by Brijesh Singh, the Minister of State for Public Works in Uttar Pradesh.
During the meeting, officials assessed the planned activities for the campaign, which will run from September 17 to October 17. Singh emphasized that the campaign should extend beyond departmental activities to become a broader public initiative. He urged for better coordination with local representatives to engage more citizens in the programs.
Participation from social and voluntary organizations, youth, women, students, self-help groups, and the general public was highlighted as crucial. Various events focusing on service, cleanliness, cultural programs, and community involvement will be organized during the campaign. Instructions were given to enhance lighting at major government buildings to create an inviting atmosphere.
The Basic Education Department has been tasked with organizing painting competitions in schools and showcasing outstanding artworks. Additionally, the District Inspector of Schools will coordinate events in schools, colleges, and universities to involve students and youth in the campaign. The Culture Department has been asked to finalize venues and dates for performances by artists promptly.
Through cultural events, the campaign aims to communicate messages about service, nation-building, welfare schemes, and the vision of a developed India. Achievements from the past 12 years, along with government welfare projects and development efforts, will be widely promoted. Success stories of individuals benefitting from various government schemes will be shared through the ‘Story of Service’ program. This information will be disseminated via videos, photos, and digital platforms to reach a wider audience.
Officials have also been instructed to upload photos and videos of campaign-related activities regularly on departmental portals to maintain a digital record of the events and their impact. Special emphasis was placed on effectively organizing the ‘Service Light Kalash Yatra – Commitment to a Developed India.’ Coordination with relevant departments, including those in Noida, Greater Noida, and the Yamuna Authority, is essential for this initiative.
Singh stressed the importance of spreading the message of service and the commitment to a developed India by 2047 through this journey. Active participation from local representatives and various social groups will be encouraged. Cleanliness programs will also be part of the campaign, with directives for maximum public involvement.
To showcase the impact of the cleanliness initiative, photos and videos will be captured before and after the campaign and uploaded to departmental portals. The meeting also emphasized promoting rangoli programs, creatively presenting messages related to welfare schemes, cleanliness, service, and the vision for a developed India.
Furthermore, plans were made to compile a list of participants from Gautam Buddh Nagar for the state-level ‘Service My Contribution’ program. A series of extensive events will be organized across the district’s three assembly constituencies at the campaign’s conclusion. Singh instructed all officials to complete preparations within the set timeframe and maintain continuous coordination with local representatives to ensure the campaign’s effectiveness and broad public participation.
Attendees at the meeting included MP Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh, Dadri MLA Tejpal Nagar, Legislative Council member Narendra Bhati, District Panchayat Administrator Amit Kumar, BJP District President Abhishek Sharma, Metro President Mahesh Chauhan, District Magistrate Medha Rupam, Chief Development Officer Bhal Chandra Tripathi, Noida Authority CEO Vandana Tripathi, Greater Noida Authority CEO Prerna Singh, and various district-level officials from different departments.
