Jaipur, 22 August (Kiran News): Due to rising procurement prices of milk and increasing demand for ghee, the Rajasthan Co-operative Dairy Federation (RCDF) has raised the prices of Saras ghee. A uniform hike of ₹20 per litre has been implemented across all packaging types, effective from Friday.

According to the RCDF Public Relations Manager, RCDF and its affiliated district milk unions are currently paying an average procurement rate of ₹937 per kilogram fat for milk. This has directly benefited over 9 lakh milk producers associated with the federation across the state. This procurement rate is among the highest in the country. Due to increased production costs, RCDF has revised the ghee prices, but Saras ghee will still remain relatively cheaper compared to other competitive brands.
The official also mentioned that the demand for Saras ghee has been consistently rising due to its high quality. Compared to last year, ghee sales have increased by more than 30% this year. There has also been a steady rise in Saras ghee supplies to temples, and its demand is growing continuously in Delhi and neighbouring states as well.
