Sanjay Nishad Addresses Ram Temple Fund Misappropriation Investigation

Lucknow, June 24: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the alleged misappropriation of funds at the Ram Temple has submitted its preliminary report to the state government. In response, Uttar Pradesh Minister Sanjay Nishad stated that the investigation is ongoing and assured that the truth will emerge. “With the Chief Minister overseeing the investigation, there should be no concerns. No one will be spared,” he emphasized.

In an interview on Wednesday, Nishad remarked that questioning the investigation before the SIT report is made public is inappropriate. He stressed that there will be no tolerance for negligence in the inquiry. “Not everyone in any system is at fault. It is wrong to question the integrity and dedication of all individuals. We must ensure such incidents do not recur. Donations made to any religious site must be managed properly, as they are public funds,” he added.

Nishad also addressed allegations against Chief Minister Mohan Yadav regarding land scams. He noted that while making accusations is easy, proving them is challenging. “Being born into a backward caste is a curse. During the time of Digvijaya Singh in Congress, such allegations were not made. The dual character of Congress must end. Akhilesh Yadav, being a Yadav himself, will naturally support his community. Everyone has the right to acquire property with their wealth, but if someone uses government funds for personal gain, action should be taken against them,” he stated.

Furthermore, he responded to Maulana Arshad Madani’s statement asserting that jihad is a right for every Muslim. Nishad emphasized that India operates under its Constitution. “Those who wished to live by Sharia left for Pakistan in 1947. The Sachar Committee report indicates that the condition of the Muslim community is worse than that of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. Over the past 70 years, what has the Muslim community achieved by supporting Congress and Samajwadi Party? We need to work towards ensuring that members of the Muslim community become doctors and engineers. Many individuals wearing traditional caps will send their children abroad for education, yet preach religion to those living here,” he remarked.

Nishad also commented on Akhilesh Yadav’s statement regarding the Lucknow incident, which claimed the government was shedding false tears. He stated, “This is a very tragic incident, and we express our condolences. Our government stands with the victims. There should be no politics over the deceased. It was during the same government that orders were given to demolish it, but later those orders were revoked, and a clean chit was issued. Questions should not be raised over any government’s orders. The focus today should be on preventing such incidents.”
