New Delhi, July 23: In response to escalating tensions in the capital’s prominent business district, Connaught Place (CP), authorities have mandated the closure of all shops, offices, and restaurants by 6:30 PM today.
This urgent advisory was issued by Atul Bhargav, president of the New Delhi Traders Association (NDTA). The decision follows directives received via telephone from the chairman and vice-chairman of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC).
The advisory states that due to the serious and sensitive situation surrounding Connaught Place, all commercial establishments must close their doors by 6:30 PM on July 23.
Business owners and operators are urged to strictly adhere to these instructions and cooperate fully with the administration. The advisory emphasizes that these measures aim to prevent any untoward incidents, ensure public safety, and mitigate potential property damage or loss of life.

It is noteworthy that protests by students regarding the NEET paper leak are ongoing near Jantar Mantar, close to Connaught Place. Currently, the situation is calm, and police and administrative bodies are taking all necessary precautions to avert any incidents.
Additionally, a significant gathering of students can be observed from Connaught Place to Jantar Mantar.
