Indore, July 23: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated a segment of the state’s first double layer flyover bridge in Indore. He emphasized that Indore and development are synonymous.
During the inauguration at Lavkush Chauraha, CM Yadav described the double layer flyover, constructed at a cost of ₹175 crore, as a prime example of modern technology and advanced engineering. He noted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, both the country and the state are experiencing comprehensive development.
CM Yadav stated that this flyover will play a crucial role in managing the increasing traffic on the Indore-Ujjain route, especially with the upcoming Simhasth-2028 event in mind. It will reduce travel time, save fuel, alleviate traffic congestion, and provide citizens with safe and convenient transit.
He highlighted the project’s key feature: a three-tier traffic management system. The first level accommodates general traffic at Lavkush Chauraha, the second level includes the existing flyover and metro rail corridor, while the third level is the new double layer flyover. This design will reduce traffic pressure at the intersection and ensure smooth movement.
With the opening of one segment of the double layer flyover, traffic from Arvindo towards Banganga will commence. The construction of the second segment is in its final stages and will be completed soon.
