Lucknow, June 26: In response to the ongoing Ram Temple donation controversy, Uttar Pradesh Minister Anil Rajbhar and BJP MP Dinesh Sharma have voiced their opinions. Rajbhar stated that the Samajwadi Party (SP), particularly its national president, is making irresponsible statements. He urged the opposition to cease their rhetoric. Sharma added that the investigation is still underway, and everyone should wait for the findings.
Speaking to a news agency, Minister Rajbhar emphasized, “The opposition should stop making statements. Once the SIT report is released, anyone can raise questions if they find any shortcomings. However, the report has not yet been submitted, and the SP, especially its national president, is making irresponsible remarks.”
Rajbhar further noted, “Whenever an investigation begins, SP leaders start making statements. Akhilesh Yadav, being a former Chief Minister, knows that such statements can influence the investigation. The Chief Minister has already stated that once the report is out, anyone can express their views. I want to assure the people of the state that no matter how high-ranking an official is, they will not escape scrutiny in this matter. This is a serious issue tied to people’s faith and trust. Therefore, the government will ensure strict action.”
Rajya Sabha MP Dinesh Sharma commented on the controversy, stating, “The sole agenda of the opposition is to defame the government. With the 2027 assembly elections approaching, the opposition has run out of issues. Development has accelerated, infrastructure has expanded, and improvements have been made in education and health services. Consequently, the opposition has no valid issues left, leading them to criticize even Lord Ram.”
He continued, “Since the inception of the Ram Temple movement, they have opposed the kar sevaks. They even ordered firing on them. They made statements claiming that ‘not even a bird would be harmed.’ Despite the Supreme Court’s ruling and the construction of the Ram Temple under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, they launched a false campaign regarding ‘donation theft.’ Some Congress leaders even approached the court, claiming that Lord Ram did not exist and that the Ram Setu was a myth.”
Sharma added, “Now they have brought up another issue. However, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has itself filed an FIR. The Chief Minister has also stated firmly that no guilty party will be spared, regardless of their rank.”
The BJP MP also mentioned that the SIT submitted its report within the stipulated time. An FIR was filed just five minutes after the report was submitted, leading to the arrest of eight individuals. The investigation is still ongoing, so everyone should wait for the results.
