Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti Addresses Ram Mandir Donation Scandal, Expresses Trust in Investigation

New Delhi, July 1: Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, the chairperson of the National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC) and former Union Minister, has responded to the allegations of embezzlement related to donations for the Ram Mandir. She stated that this incident has caused distress, but the swift actions taken against the accused indicate that the investigation is proceeding appropriately.

In an interview with a news agency, Sadhvi Jyoti remarked, “I believe all devotees and Ram Bhakts are hurt. We have dedicated ourselves to the movement tirelessly. This incident has caused pain, but I trust that the Chief Minister and the government will take strict action against those who have committed wrongdoings.”

Regarding the ongoing investigation, she noted, “You must have seen that immediate action was taken when the case was revealed, resulting in the arrest of 8-9 individuals. The investigation is ongoing, and everyone should cooperate.”

When questioned about the resignation of Champat Rai, she emphasized that the arrests demonstrate that the investigation is being conducted properly. She also mentioned that the trust had relied on individuals who ultimately betrayed that trust.

Sadhvi Jyoti expressed her shock at the situation, stating, “I am personally stunned by what has transpired. There was a 500-year struggle for the temple, yet this issue has surfaced within just a couple of years. This is absolutely unacceptable.”

Responding to comments made by Akhilesh Yadav regarding the Ram Mandir donation issue, she said, “Political parties view issues through their own lens. I believe everyone should cooperate during the investigation. If concerns are raised, it should be a demand for a more effective investigation. Therefore, excessive criticism during the inquiry is inappropriate.”

On the decline in commercial cylinder prices, Sadhvi Jyoti remarked, “From 2014 to the next ten years, I have worked alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a central minister. Due to the pandemic and war-like conditions among many nations, even prosperous countries have been affected. However, India has managed to provide timely assistance to its citizens. I can say that because of PM Modi, the people of this country have fully supported the efforts, and even in times of crisis, there is no shortage of resources in the nation.”
