Rupali Nilesh Chakanakar Denies Baseless Allegations Against Her Family

Mumbai, April 14: Rupali Nilesh Chakanakar, a leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), has publicly addressed the ongoing allegations against her and her family, stating that it has been 28 days of relentless, unfounded accusations aimed solely at tarnishing their reputation.

In a post on the social media platform X, she highlighted the recent surge of allegations in Maharashtra’s political landscape. While the media has been presenting evidence related to these accusations, she asserts that no substantial proof has been provided by the accusers, nor has the media demanded any.

Chakanakar questioned the legitimacy of the anonymous letter that has been central to the allegations, urging those making claims to clarify how they obtained the letter. She criticized the media for sensationalizing the issue without proper investigation, suggesting that it is part of a deliberate smear campaign against her family.

She referenced comments from Navneet Kawate, the Superintendent of Police in Beed, who stated that an anonymous letter holds no legal validity and should not be taken seriously. Despite this, Chakanakar insists that an investigation is necessary to uncover the source of the letter.

Chakanakar expressed concern over the dangerous precedent being set by such incidents, where speculation and fabricated stories are used to mentally harass and defame individuals. She firmly stated that she and her family have no involvement in any financial dealings, land transactions, or illegal activities related to the Kharaat case. She remains confident that the truth will ultimately prevail.

On March 27, Rupali Chakanakar resigned from her position as the state president of the NCP’s women’s wing, addressing her resignation to the party’s national president and Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister, Supriya Sule. In her resignation letter, she formally requested acceptance of her resignation from the role.
