Patna, October 7 (Daily Kiran) : RJD legislator Bhai Virendra has taken aim at Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s recent statements made during events celebrating his 25 years in public life. He expressed concern over rising inflation, unemployment, and crime, questioning the government’s priorities.
Bhai Virendra highlighted that while Modi spoke about taking action against enemies, it is essential to remember that people from all communities—Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, and Christians—sacrificed for the country’s freedom. He criticized the government for focusing more on communal issues rather than addressing pressing national concerns like inflation and joblessness. He pointed out that crime rates are also on the rise, and the government must pay attention to these matters.
The legislator also questioned the government’s claims of showcasing achievements during Modi’s tenure, asserting that aside from foreign trips, little has been done to provide jobs for the unemployed or curb inflation.
Regarding the all-party march planned for October 8 against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, Bhai Virendra stated that the government can file complaints against anyone, but he and his colleagues will not be intimidated. He noted that protests will take place at the state governor’s office, with participation from opposition leaders, including Tejashwi Yadav.
Bhai Virendra emphasized that if the government seeks to entrap the opposition through legal means, they will not back down. He recalled that during the freedom struggle, people were arrested, yet the country ultimately achieved independence. He called for Gyanesh Kumar’s removal and action against him.
In response to Rahul Gandhi‘s remarks accusing Gyanesh Kumar of treason, Bhai Virendra stressed that the government must address the issues affecting the public. He accused the administration of misusing public funds, leading to increased unemployment and soaring inflation. He promised that if they come to power, they will review these matters and determine accountability.
He also urged youth to participate in the upcoming protest organized by the CJP at Jantar Mantar starting October 10. Bhai Virendra encouraged young people, regardless of their political affiliations, to play a role in shaping the future of the country. He reiterated the need for public voices to rise against unemployment, inflation, and crime, drawing parallels with the freedom movement and past protests against emergency measures.
Lastly, Bhai Virendra questioned the CBI’s actions against Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s officer on special duty, alleging that the agency is being politically manipulated. He accused certain individuals within various political parties of leaking information about their leaders’ activities and using it to target political opponents. Despite these tactics aimed at intimidating opposition leaders, he affirmed that the opposition will continue its political activities.
