Redmi K90 Max Set to Launch with Dimensity 9500 and D2 Graphics Chip

Mumbai, April 14: Redmi has begun unveiling key features of the highly anticipated Redmi K90 Max ahead of its official launch on April 21. The brand is marketing this device as performance-oriented, with recent teasers emphasizing its gaming capabilities.

Dimensity 9500 Confirmed with Dual-Chip Gaming Setup

The Redmi K90 Max will officially feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, complemented by a dedicated D2 graphics chip. This dual-chip configuration is engineered to manage frame interpolation, resolution scaling, and overall image enhancement during gaming. Redmi asserts that the device can achieve up to 165fps in various games, even those that do not inherently support such high frame rates.

The device has also surfaced on Geekbench, where a prototype with 16GB of RAM showcased impressive single-core and multi-core performance scores. This listing further confirms the flagship chipset and indicates that multiple RAM variants may be available at launch.

On the display front, the Redmi K90 Max is expected to sport a 6.83-inch OLED screen with a 165Hz refresh rate, tailored for competitive gaming. The display is reported to support high brightness levels and improved touch response, enhancing overall gameplay responsiveness.

Another significant feature is the cooling system. This will reportedly be Xiaomi’s first smartphone equipped with an integrated fan, utilizing a vertical airflow design to significantly lower internal temperatures in a short time. Despite the active cooling system, the device is expected to maintain robust dust and water resistance ratings.

Additionally, the Redmi K90 Max is likely to come with a large battery that supports fast charging, along with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, making it a comprehensive performance device.
