Washington, March 1: Raza Pahlavi, the son of Iran’s last Shah and currently in exile, has stated that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei is now “erased from the pages of history.” He claims that the Islamic Republic is nearing its end.
In a statement directed at the people of Iran, Pahlavi labeled Khamenei as “the bloodthirsty tyrant of our time.” He accused Khamenei of taking the lives of thousands of brave sons and daughters of Iran.
Pahlavi asserted, “With his death, the Islamic Republic effectively comes to an end and will soon be dust in history.”
He also warned that any attempt by those associated with the current regime to install a new leader in Khamenei’s place would fail. According to Pahlavi, “It has been clear from the beginning that every such attempt will be unsuccessful.”
Pahlavi cautioned that any effort by loyalists of the government to appoint a successor to Khamenei would be futile. He stated, “Any attempt by the remaining members of the government to appoint a successor to Khamenei will be doomed to failure from the start. Whoever they place in his position will have no legitimacy and will certainly be complicit in the crimes of this government.”
Addressing Iran’s military, police, and security forces, Pahlavi made it clear that any effort to save the crumbling regime would not succeed. He urged the security forces to recognize that this is their last chance to support the people and help lead Iran towards a free and prosperous future.
Pahlavi remarked that while Khamenei’s death does not bring justice and cannot restore the blood that has been shed, it may provide some solace to grieving families. He referenced the parents, spouses, and children who have lost their loved ones.
Describing the Iranian people as “honorable and brave,” Pahlavi called on them to remain vigilant and prepare for what lies ahead. He indicated that this could mark the beginning of a significant national celebration, but emphasized that the struggle is not yet over.
He stated, “This could be the start of our grand national celebration, but it is not the end of the journey. Stay alert and prepared. The time for a massive and decisive presence on the streets is very near. Together, united and strong, we will achieve final victory, and we will celebrate Iran’s freedom in our homeland.”
Raza Pahlavi, the son of Iran’s last Shah, has lived in exile in the United States for several decades. In recent years, he has supported anti-government protests in Iran from abroad. He has expressed that if given the opportunity, he would return to Tehran to play a role as an interim leader in guiding the country towards democracy.
