
Patna, March 3: Raju Tiwari, a legislator from the LJP (Ram Vilas), has made significant remarks regarding Nishant Kumar, the son of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Speaking about the speculation surrounding Nishant’s appointment to the Rajya Sabha, Tiwari stated that it is a matter for their party, but he would be pleased if it happens.
Tiwari emphasized that Nishant is young and has a legacy of his father’s contributions to Bihar. He expressed that if Nishant enters active politics, it would be a positive development.
He remarked, “Our party and I would welcome him. Being young, he has the potential to be a great leader. He represents a new generation with fresh ideas and a sense of spirituality. His entry into politics would benefit Bihar.” Tiwari also commented on Tejashwi Yadav, questioning his capabilities and highlighting that the people of Bihar have witnessed his performance as the Leader of the Opposition in the state assembly.
Furthermore, Tiwari asserted that all five Rajya Sabha seats would favor the NDA. He noted that there is no conflict regarding Nishant’s candidacy, as he is the son of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and has maintained a clean image without controversies. Tiwari expressed hope for Nishant’s active involvement in Bihar and stated that the entire party would support the decisions made by NDA leaders. He confidently predicted that they would win all five seats.
The demand for Nishant Kumar’s entry into politics has been ongoing for some time. Recently, indications have emerged within the JD(U) that he may soon become active in politics. There are discussions suggesting that Nishant could be nominated to the Rajya Sabha from the JD(U). Party workers have long been advocating for his political involvement, even putting up posters in various locations. However, both Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Nishant have yet to comment on the matter.
