Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Goes High-Tech with Yash App for Enhanced Crime Monitoring

Noida, March 14: The Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissionerate is continuously leveraging modern technology to strengthen crime control and law enforcement. Under the guidance of Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh, the artificial intelligence (AI)-based ‘Yash App’ has been effectively implemented.

This application facilitates the rapid digital compilation and updating of crucial information related to criminals, gangs, history-sheeters, and beat policing. The three zones under the Commissionerate—Noida Zone, Central Noida Zone, and Greater Noida Zone—are prioritizing the completion of this project. As a result, surveillance on criminals and suspicious activities has become more robust and organized.

The police have also completed the mapping of villages and neighborhoods across the district using the ‘Yash App.’ A total of 2,009 villages and neighborhoods have been digitally mapped within the Commissionerate area. This mapping provides geographic and administrative information in digital format, significantly enhancing beat policing, expediting crime control, and ensuring prompt police assistance in emergencies.

Additionally, 100% registration of population-related details has been completed across the 822 beats in all police stations in the district. This demographic data will assist the police in better planning security arrangements and resource allocation based on specific areas. So far, details of 20,537 criminals linked to various police stations have been recorded on the ‘Yash App,’ with verification of 19,931 criminals already completed. The verification process for the remaining criminals is ongoing, with completion expected soon.

Currently, 189 gangs are listed within the Gautam Buddh Nagar Commissionerate, and details of all these gangs have also been recorded on the ‘Yash App.’ This makes it easier for the police to monitor gang activities and take timely action. Furthermore, 100% registration of 1,073 history-sheeters recorded in all police stations has been accomplished on this app. Police officials believe that having a digital record will enhance monitoring of criminal activities and help curb organized crime.

The Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissionerate states that the ‘Yash App’ is creating an organized digital record of criminals, gangs, history-sheeters, and local information. This initiative is aiding in making policing more transparent, systematic, and results-oriented. The Commissionerate has clarified that it will continue to maximize the use of technological resources to maintain law and order in the district and provide a safe environment for citizens.
