Rajasthan Weather: Monsoon to Revive After 48 Hours, Heavy Rain Likely on August 18–19

Jaipur, August 13 (Kiran News). After a brief lull, monsoon activity in Rajasthan is expected to pick up again from August 15, bringing relief from heat and humidity. According to the Jaipur Meteorological Centre, easterly winds from the Bay of Bengal will become active from August 14–15, triggering fresh spells of rainfall.

Heavy Rain Forecast for Southern and Western Rajasthan
The Met department has predicted that on August 18 and 19, heavy rainfall is likely in southern and western districts, including Jodhpur, Barmer, Jalore, Pali, Kota, Udaipur, and adjoining areas. The upcoming weather system will also bring moderate rain to parts of Kota and Udaipur divisions from August 15, while western Rajasthan is expected to see increased rain activity from August 16, followed by eastern Rajasthan.

Current Weather Conditions
On Tuesday, weather across the state remained dry, with no rainfall recorded. Sri Ganganagar registered the highest maximum temperature at 36.9°C, while Sirohi recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 20.3°C. Humidity levels across most districts ranged between 40% and 70%.

Why the Rain Stopped
Currently, the monsoon trough is passing through Amritsar and Chandigarh, causing westerly winds to dominate over Rajasthan. This has limited rainfall activity, but with the arrival of the new weather system, the third phase of monsoon is expected to begin, improving rain distribution across the state.
