Jaipur, March 1: Ahead of International Women’s Day on March 8, Rajasthan Police has launched a major technology-driven initiative to strengthen women’s safety in public transport.

Under the direction of Director General of Police Rajeev Kumar Sharma, a special statewide campaign has begun to paste QR code-enabled posters and stickers of the RajCop Citizen App in buses, autos and taxis. The move aims to ensure safety of women and girls during travel and provide immediate police assistance in emergency situations.
As per instructions from Police Headquarters, traffic police personnel across districts are systematically placing QR code posters inside public transport vehicles.
One Scan for Direct Police Support
Women passengers, including students and working professionals, can scan the QR code displayed inside the vehicle using their smartphones to directly download the RajCop Citizen App.
The app features a specially designed “Need Help” option for emergency situations. With a single click, the user’s location is instantly shared with the police control room, enabling quick response and assistance.
Technology to Strengthen Trust
RAJASTHAN Police stated that displaying QR codes in public transport will enhance the sense of security and confidence among women commuters. The initiative is expected to take technology-based safety mechanisms to the grassroots level.
Launched on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the campaign is being seen as a significant step towards building a safer environment and reinforcing women’s empowerment across the state.
