New Delhi, March 31: The traffic police in Karol Bagh have demonstrated their vigilance and efficiency by recovering two stolen vehicles during a recent checking operation. This action took place on March 30 as part of a routine traffic inspection and enforcement campaign.
The first incident occurred at the Shadipur Chowk, where Sub-Inspector Surendra and Head Constable Nikunj attempted to stop a suspicious motorcycle around 1:20 PM. The rider tried to evade the check, raising the officers’ suspicions. Acting swiftly, the team intercepted the motorcycle and apprehended two young men, Deepak (20) and Gaurav Kumar (20).
During the investigation, it was revealed that the motorcycle had been stolen from the Greater Noida area on November 18, 2022. An FIR had already been registered under Section 379. The recovered motorcycle and the two suspects were handed over to the Ranjit Nagar police station for further legal action.
On the same day, a second operation took place near Kamal Tea Point on New Rohtak Road. Here, Head Constable Devi Das was conducting a campaign against improperly parked vehicles on the sidewalk. During this effort, he noticed an abandoned D-Van. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the vehicle had been stolen from the DBG Road area, with an e-FIR registered under Section 305(B) of the BNS. The vehicle was subsequently handed over to the investigating officer.
These incidents clearly demonstrate that the staff at the Karol Bagh traffic circle is not only active in maintaining smooth traffic flow but also plays a crucial role in crime prevention. This entire operation was conducted under the supervision of Traffic Inspector Ram Singh and ACP Traffic Sanjay Singh.
