Raghav Chadhas Shift to BJP Sparks Political Commentary from Anand Dubey

Mumbai, April 25: Political tensions are rising following the departure of several Members of Parliament, including Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha, from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In this context, Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Anand Dubey made pointed remarks on Friday, employing a poetic tone.

Dubey stated, “Those who have created a new base for the BJP and dug a pit for the AAP are none other than Raghav Chadha. The BJP has fostered an environment in the country where it does not need an opposition. If seven out of ten Rajya Sabha MPs have shifted from AAP to BJP, what remains for them? Their party was meant for the common man, but if their members have become special individuals in the Rajya Sabha and all have moved to the BJP, the question is not ours but the BJP’s.”

He further commented on the internal dynamics of the AAP, saying, “Only they can explain what is happening within the AAP. However, the kind of Operation Lotus we heard about—how two factions of Shiv Sena were created by splitting our party and how many MPs and MLAs left—this is now happening within the AAP and will soon occur in the Samajwadi Party and Congress. The BJP aims for an opposition-free India. Kejriwal is unable to manage his party. If he had adhered to the policies he introduced, he wouldn’t be facing this situation today. First, he quarreled with Swati Maliwal and then attempted to distance himself from Raghav Chadha.”

On the issue of the Marathi language, Dubey remarked, “Maharashtra’s Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik has issued a directive for auto and rickshaw drivers to know Marathi. I believe this should apply to everyone, including Bollywood actors and big industrialists. Our demand is that if someone buys a flat in Mumbai, the registration should be granted only to those who can speak, write, and understand Marathi. In fact, there should be a small exam on Marathi. Why should only rickshaw and taxi drivers learn Marathi? Everyone should.”

Regarding the historic voter turnout in West Bengal, he noted, “Higher voting can be for changing the government, but it may also indicate efforts to save the current government. Increased voting is a game of SIR. However, West Bengal is witnessing a close contest, and we will know on May 4 what stance the public has taken.”
