
Ranchi, April 5: On the fourth day of the 16th Hockey India Sub-Junior Women’s National Championship 2026, held in Ranchi, Puducherry Hockey and Kerala Hockey secured victories in ‘Division C’. Meanwhile, in ‘Division B’, Himachal Hockey, Tamil Nadu Hockey Unit, and Delhi Hockey also emerged victorious.
In the first match of the day, Puducherry Hockey achieved a remarkable 10-0 win against Rajasthan Hockey in Pool B of ‘Division C’. Goals were scored by Gyaneshwari Giraka (2nd, 25th, 28th, 48th minutes), Chanchal (26th, 54th, 55th minutes), Haridarsini (18th minute), Tharini S (30th minute), and captain Kanakshri (47th minute).
In another match of ‘Division C’, Kerala Hockey defeated Telangana Hockey 4-1. For Kerala, Parameshwari Pinapothula scored twice (6th and 10th minutes), while Niranjana Pradeep (20th minute) and captain Reshma Samad (48th minute) added to the tally. Telangana’s Anandi Mahanand scored in the 20th minute.
In ‘Division B’, the match between Chandigarh Hockey and Uttarakhand Hockey ended in a 2-2 draw. Annu scored both goals for Chandigarh (27th, 37th minutes), while captain Meenakshi (49th minute) and Gungun Kataria (60th minute) found the net for Uttarakhand. In another match, Himachal Hockey triumphed over Karnataka Hockey with a score of 3-1. Shanvi Sharma scored twice (20th and 33rd minutes), and Arushi netted one in the 7th minute. Saraswati H.Y. scored the only goal for Karnataka in the 39th minute.
Tamil Nadu Hockey had an impressive 5-1 victory against Assam Hockey in their Pool A match of ‘Division B’. Jonishadefini M.J. scored a hat-trick (17th, 42nd, and 55th minutes), while captain Kanishka S.S. added a goal in the 24th minute, and G. Swati scored in the 36th minute. Kalita Chayanika scored for Assam in the 8th minute.
In the final match of the day, Delhi Hockey defeated Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu Hockey 2-1. Captain Deepika scored in the 5th minute, and Ashna Kamboj added another in the 42nd minute. Priya scored for Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu in the 43rd minute.
