New Delhi, February 25: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently on a two-day visit to Israel, where he will address the Knesset, Israel’s parliament. Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra commented on Modi’s trip, stating that India has always stood for what is right throughout its history. She emphasized the importance of showcasing truth, peace, and justice to the world.
In a post on the social media platform X, Priyanka Gandhi expressed her hope that PM Modi would mention the massacre of thousands of innocent men, women, and children in Gaza during his address to the Knesset and advocate for justice on their behalf. She reiterated that India, as a free nation, must continue to illuminate the world with truth, peace, and justice.
Ahead of his visit, PM Modi stated, “At the invitation of my dear friend Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, I will travel to Israel on February 25-26, 2026.” He highlighted the robust and multifaceted strategic partnership between India and Israel, which has seen significant growth in recent years. Modi expressed his anticipation for discussions with Netanyahu aimed at strengthening collaboration in various sectors, including science and technology, innovation, agriculture, water management, defense, security, trade, and investment, as well as enhancing people-to-people ties.
He also mentioned, “During this visit, I will meet with Israeli President Isaac Herzog. I will have the honor of being the first Indian Prime Minister to address the Knesset, marking a tribute to the strong parliamentary and democratic relations between our two countries.”
Modi expressed eagerness to engage with members of the Indian diaspora, who have long promoted the special friendship between India and Israel. He believes that his state visit will further solidify the ties between the two nations, set new goals for their strategic partnership, and advance their shared vision for a strong, innovative, and prosperous future.
