
Mumbai, June 6: Actress and politician Priya Dutt paid tribute to her father, the renowned actor and politician Sunil Dutt, on his 97th birth anniversary with an emotional note.
She shared a video featuring photos of Sunil Dutt, reflecting on the values, lessons, and kindness she inherited from him. Priya expressed that even in his absence, his presence continues to guide her daily.
In her heartfelt message, she wrote, “Now and forever.” She fondly remembered their moments together and expressed gratitude for the time they shared. “Happy Birthday, Papa! Some people have a presence that never leaves us, no matter how much time passes. You have that presence in my life. The teachings, values, and acts of kindness I witnessed from you still guide me every day.”
On this special day, she celebrated not only his remarkable life but also the love, compassion, and humanity he shared with the world. “I miss you dearly, but I am grateful for all the moments, conversations, and memories I was fortunate to share with you. Sunil Dutt was one of the most respected figures in Indian cinema. He began his acting career with the film “Railway Platform” and delivered memorable performances in classics like “Mother India,” “Sadhana,” “Mujhe Jeene Do,” “Waqt,” “Padosan,” “Hamraaz,” and “Reshma Aur Shera.”
Beyond his illustrious film career, Sunil Dutt made significant contributions to social service and politics. He passed away from a heart attack on May 25, 2005, at the age of 75.
