Prime Minister Modi to Inaugurate Shri Guru Bhairavaikya Temple in Karnataka

New Delhi, April 15: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Shri Guru Bhairavaikya Temple located in the Mandya district of Karnataka on Wednesday at around 11 AM. He will also address the gathering during this event. Additionally, the Prime Minister will jointly release a book titled ‘Saundarya Lahari and Shiva Mahimna Stotra’ alongside former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda.

The Shri Guru Bhairavaikya Temple is a monument dedicated to Shri Shri Shri Balagangadhar Nath Mahaswamiji, the 71st pontiff of the Shri Adichunchanagiri Math. Built in the traditional Dravidian architectural style, this temple pays tribute to the life and legacy of the late saint. According to a statement, the temple is envisioned not only as a place of worship but also as a source of inspiration for future generations.

Shri Shri Shri Balagangadhar Nath Mahaswamiji was widely honored for his lifelong dedication to social service. He established numerous educational institutions and healthcare facilities. His strong belief was that social service is the highest form of worship, and his teachings have inspired millions, transcending the boundaries of caste, religion, and region.

Earlier on Tuesday, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated a six-lane Delhi-Dehradun expressway, built at a cost of ₹12,000 crores. This highway project is expected to reduce travel time between the two cities from five to six hours to approximately two to two and a half hours.

The 213-kilometer controlled route is now open for use and is anticipated to significantly improve regional connectivity. It connects major cities in Uttar Pradesh, such as Bagpat, Baraut, Shamli, and Saharanpur, before reaching Dehradun. It will also link with major national corridors, including the Delhi-Mumbai, Delhi-Katra, and Delhi-Meerut expressways.

Previously, Prime Minister Modi inspected the wildlife corridor on the elevated section of the economic corridor in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

During this visit, Union Minister for Highways and Transport Nitin Gadkari, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak were also present.

An exhibition showcasing the construction process of the wildlife corridor was set up, and officials provided the Prime Minister with information about the project. Modi also conducted a roadshow alongside the wildlife corridor, attracting a large crowd on both sides of the road.
