High-Level Committee Takes Strong Measures to Maintain Industrial Harmony in Gautam Buddh Nagar

Noida, April 15: The High-Level Committee established to ensure industrial harmony and law enforcement in Gautam Buddh Nagar is actively engaged in its mission. A significant meeting was held on Wednesday at the Collectorate auditorium with outsourcing agencies and contractors.

The meeting was chaired by Deepak Kumar, the Commissioner of Industrial Development and the committee’s president, with senior officials from the state and representatives from industrial units in attendance.

During the meeting, the committee emphasized the critical role of outsourcing agencies in the smooth operation of industrial units and job creation. It is the responsibility of these agencies to maintain discipline among their workers and provide adequate training to prevent any disorder or unrest.

The committee issued a stern warning that any disruptive behavior by an agency or its workers would hold the agency fully accountable. Such incidents could lead to the agency being blacklisted and its license revoked.

Special attention was also given to the rights and benefits of workers. Officials instructed that all agencies must ensure 100% compliance with the minimum wage set by the state government. This includes mandatory monthly salaries of ₹13,690 for unskilled workers, ₹15,059 for semi-skilled workers, and ₹16,868 for skilled workers. Furthermore, it was mandated that salaries be transferred directly to workers’ bank accounts to maintain transparency.

The Labor Department also directed that police verification be conducted for all workers at the time of joining, and that benefits like Provident Fund (PF) and Employee State Insurance (ESI) be provided as per regulations. This will help maintain worker satisfaction and stabilize the industrial environment.

Additionally, a permanent call center has been established by the Labor Department for the prompt resolution of workers’ issues. Agencies have been provided with the toll-free number 9411900251 for any problems or emergencies.

Officials stated that industry, workers, and employers are interdependent. The smooth operation of industrial activities secures job opportunities and accelerates the state’s development. All parties were urged to stay away from rumors and misinformation and to work together in cooperation and trust.

The High-Level Committee assured that the state government is committed to protecting the interests of both workers and industries, and that the administration will work diligently to resolve any issues. The meeting concluded in a cordial atmosphere, with all agencies assuring compliance with government directives.
