Preparations Intensify for UPSC Civil Services Prelims in Gautam Buddh Nagar

Noida, May 22: The district administration in Gautam Buddh Nagar is ramping up preparations for the upcoming UPSC Civil Services Prelims, scheduled for May 24, 2026. A crucial review meeting was held on Friday at the Collectorate auditorium to ensure the exam is conducted in a peaceful, transparent, and cheat-free environment.

The meeting was chaired by Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Administration Manglesh Dubey, with participation from sector magistrates, local inspecting officers, center administrators, and police officials. The exam will take place across a total of 34 centers in the district.

The examination will be conducted in two shifts: the first shift from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM and the second shift from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. The administration has instructed all officials to fulfill their responsibilities according to the commission’s guidelines. ADM Dubey emphasized that maintaining the integrity of the exam is a joint responsibility of both the district and police administrations.

He directed all officials to inspect their respective centers beforehand to ensure all necessary arrangements are in place. Special attention was given to the functionality of CCTV cameras, power supply, drinking water, seating arrangements, and security measures.

The ADM instructed police officials to conduct thorough checks of electronic devices as candidates enter the exam centers. No candidate will be allowed to bring mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, smartwatches, or any other electronic gadgets inside the examination premises.

He stated that any negligence in security arrangements will not be tolerated. During the meeting, officials designated by the UPSC, Manoj and Bhanu Pratap, also provided detailed guidelines for conducting the exam in accordance with the commission’s standards.

Present at the meeting were Sub-Divisional Magistrate Ashutosh Gupta, District Development Officer Shiv Pratap Singh Parmesh, and the in-charge District School Inspector Deepa Bhati, along with several senior officials from the district administration and police department. The administration assures that all arrangements are being finalized to ensure candidates face no inconvenience and that the exam is conducted in a fair and secure environment.
