
Greater Noida, August 10: A crucial review meeting was held on Monday at the India Expo Mart and Center in Greater Noida to assess preparations for the fourth edition of the UP International Trade Show 2026. Shashi Bhushan Lal Sushil, the Principal Secretary of the MSME and Export Promotion Department of the Uttar Pradesh government, visited the venue to evaluate the arrangements and met with relevant officials for a detailed review.
He instructed officials to expedite all pending tasks related to the event, ensuring they are completed within the stipulated timeframe. The Principal Secretary emphasized that the UP International Trade Show has become a significant platform to showcase Uttar Pradesh’s industrial, commercial, cultural, and handicraft capabilities to both national and international audiences. This event provides an opportunity for the state’s micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), One District One Product (ODOP) items, handicrafts, handlooms, agriculture and food processing sectors, services, and various industrial products to reach national and international markets. During the review meeting, officials presented updates on the preparations made so far.
He directed that entrepreneurs, investors, buyers, representatives, and general visitors from across the country and abroad should not face any difficulties. To ensure this, arrangements for transportation, parking, traffic management, security, cleanliness, drinking water, electricity supply, fire safety, medical facilities, signage, and information centers at the venue must be strengthened. He specifically noted that the trade show should not merely be an exhibition; it should also provide entrepreneurs with new market, investment, and export opportunities. Special attention was also directed towards establishing effective business connections with potential buyers and investors.
The Principal Secretary stressed the importance of extensive promotion for the UP International Trade Show. He stated that information about the event should reach as many entrepreneurs, traders, investors, exporters, buyers, educational institutions, and the general public as possible. He encouraged the effective use of various media channels, including digital, social, print, and electronic media. Additionally, targeted promotional campaigns should be launched to attract potential buyers and investors from other states and abroad. Emphasis was placed on involving industrial organizations, trade associations, RWAs, and educational institutions from nearby districts in the event. The meeting also discussed the anticipated traffic pressure in Greater Noida and surrounding areas during the trade show.
The Principal Secretary instructed that adequate transportation arrangements be made for easy access to the venue. He requested that potential traffic congestion points be identified in advance, and action plans be prepared for them. Instructions were given to finalize alternative routes, parking areas, shuttle services, and public transport arrangements in a timely manner to avoid traffic jams during the event. He stated that successful coordination among all relevant departments is crucial for the success of this international-level event. The officials were directed to prepare clear action plans related to their respective departments and complete their tasks within the specified deadlines. After the meeting, he inspected the venue to assess various arrangements and provided necessary guidance to the officials.
During the review, the District Magistrate participated virtually and assured the Principal Secretary that the directives would be followed through the relevant departments, ensuring all preparations are completed on time.
Present at the meeting were Greater Noida CEO Prerna Singh, Noida CEO Vandana Tripathi, Additional District Magistrate Administration Mangalesh Dubey, City Magistrate Arvind Kumar Mishra, Deputy Commissioner of Industries Pankaj Nirvan, CO India Expo Mart Limited, and senior officials from the relevant departments. Officials were instructed to ensure that the fourth edition of the UP International Trade Show is grand, secure, well-organized, and a major attraction for investors and buyers from both India and abroad.
