Uttar Pradesh to Host Agniveer Recruitment Rallies Across Six Districts

Lucknow, August 10: Preparations for the Agniveer recruitment rallies in Uttar Pradesh have intensified. Chief Secretary S.P. Goyal held a meeting on Monday with officials from relevant departments and district administrations to review the arrangements for the rallies, which will take place in six districts. He emphasized the need for timely completion of essential facilities such as transportation, accommodation, drinking water, sanitation, medical services, security, and traffic management to ensure that candidates face no inconveniences.

This will be the third Agniveer recruitment rally in Uttar Pradesh, with a large number of young candidates expected to participate. The Chief Secretary instructed the district administration and relevant departments to coordinate effectively and complete all preparations within the set time frame. He stressed the importance of ensuring adequate arrangements for candidates’ transportation and accommodation, along with effective management of drinking water, sanitation, medical services, security, crowd control, and traffic.

Goyal urged officials to prioritize candidates’ convenience by regularly reviewing all arrangements and addressing any shortcomings immediately. He also directed that a sufficient number of medical and emergency services be available to handle any unforeseen circumstances. Furthermore, he called for the development of a comprehensive action plan to maintain law and order and ensure smooth traffic management during the recruitment process.

The meeting revealed that the Agniveer recruitment rallies will be held in six districts: Meerut from August 17 to September 9, 2026; Bareilly from September 14 to September 30, 2026; Lucknow from January 11 to January 28, 2027; Varanasi from February 2 to February 27, 2027; Agra from March 4 to March 24, 2027; and Ayodhya from March 29 to April 14, 2027.

The Chief Secretary instructed officials to ensure coordinated arrangements across all districts, considering the large number of candidates, to effectively manage crowds at the recruitment sites and maintain smooth traffic flow.
