New Delhi, 29 December: BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal has hit back at Congress MP Manickam Tagore for comparing the RSS to Al-Qaeda, saying that Tagore has lost his mental balance and should consult a psychiatrist.
Speaking from New Delhi, Praveen Khandelwal stated that the RSS does not need anyone’s certificate. The organisation is performing its duties, observed by the entire world. Tagore’s remarks prove his disturbed state of mind, and he must seek psychiatric treatment. The RSS’s dedication to the nation is well known. Tagore, he added, is a symbol of sycophancy, doing nothing beyond flattering the Gandhi family.
On Rahul Gandhi, the BJP MP said that he will receive an award only when the Congress suffers its hundredth defeat under his leadership. He echoed Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s words that the Congress’s decline is largely due to Rahul Gandhi’s leadership.
He praised the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying it has worked effectively and succeeded in giving India a strong identity on the global map.
Regarding West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Praveen Khandelwal remarked that her governance has focused on a particular community over the past few years, causing widespread dissatisfaction among the state’s people. He also pointed out the visible affinity towards Bangladesh, which has affected all sections of West Bengal’s population. The people of West Bengal are reportedly feeling suffocated.
On the atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh, Khandelwal expressed sorrow and urged the Bangladesh government to take immediate action. He emphasised that the Indian government has taken this issue seriously and is taking all necessary steps through government channels. The protection of Hindu minorities in Bangladesh is the responsibility of its government.
Speaking about RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s statement, the BJP leader said it was entirely correct. Sanatan Dharma is the soul of India. India is a ‘Hindu nation’, and Partition happened on this basis. There is no reason why India should not be considered a Hindu nation. In spirit and soul, India is and will always remain a Hindu nation.
