Patna, August 4: Dr. Jahnvi Das, wife of Jan Suraj Party founder Prashant Kishor, expressed her joy over her husband’s victory in the Bankipur Assembly by-election. She offered her heartfelt thanks to the people of Bankipur, acknowledging their trust in Kishor.
The Election Commission announced the results of the Bankipur by-election on Monday. Prashant Kishor, representing the Jan Suraj Party, defeated BJP candidate Neeraj Kumar by a margin of over 19,000 votes.
Following the victory, Kishor’s supporters organized a roadshow in Patna. Riding atop a large vehicle, Prashant Kishor thanked the public for their support. The event saw a massive turnout, including numerous party workers and citizens.
In an interview in Patna, Dr. Jahnvi Das stated, “We are all very happy. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to the people of Bankipur. I also want to express my gratitude to God for supporting us. I sincerely thank the people of Bankipur and Bihar for this wonderful victory. I will always be grateful to everyone.”
Reflecting on the Bihar Assembly elections of 2025, Jahnvi Das noted that the party fought with full strength, though it did not achieve the expected success. However, she praised Prashant for not losing hope and continuously raising the voice of Bihar and its people. “Today, the people of Bankipur have rewarded that effort,” she added.
Dr. Jahnvi Das also mentioned Prashant Kishor’s vision of ensuring that the people of Bihar do not have to migrate for employment opportunities. She expressed optimism that he will succeed in realizing this dream in the future.
On receiving congratulatory messages from Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Prashant Kishor remarked, “It’s good that he congratulated me. Samrat has always considered me his younger brother. I have no personal grievances with him. The real issue is to hand over the reins of Bihar to someone capable of improving the lives of its 100 million residents.”
