Political Turmoil Surrounds Operation Tiger in Maharashtra

Mumbai, June 17: Political controversy is escalating in Maharashtra over the alleged ‘Operation Tiger.’ Congress MP Balwant Wankhede has criticized the government for strengthening its organization by incorporating leaders from other parties instead of focusing on its own growth, raising concerns about democratic values.

Wankhede stated that there is a clear lack of leadership within the BJP across the country. The party has failed to cultivate new leaders within its ranks, leading it to recruit leaders from other political parties such as the Nationalist Congress Party, Trinamool Congress, and Congress. He accused the BJP of becoming reliant on leaders from other parties for its expansion.

He further noted that discussions have shifted from vote theft to seat theft, and now it appears that MPs are being transferred from one party to another. According to Wankhede, this situation is alarming for democracy, and the public is watching closely. He alleged that BJP leaders are being lured with incentives, which goes against democratic principles.

Meanwhile, NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) national spokesperson Anish Gawande labeled ‘Operation Tiger’ as a complete failure. He pointed out that the youth in the country are protesting on the streets over issues related to employment, education, and examinations, yet the government is ignoring these pressing matters.

Gawande highlighted that alleged corruption linked to NEET and CBSE, rising unemployment, and youth issues are among the country’s biggest challenges. Instead of addressing these concerns, political parties are preoccupied with buying and selling each other’s MPs and MLAs. He asserted that this trend is detrimental to democracy and undermines public trust.

He urged political parties to steer clear of such campaigns and controversies, focusing instead on national development, job creation, and strengthening the education system.
